The Telestream ECO8000-HREF offers to option to add three 3 GHz Relay Switch Channels to the ECO8000 ECO Automatic Changeover Units. While these channels are optimized for SD, HD, or 3G-SDI signals, they are also usable for most reference signals.

The Telestream ECO8000-HREF offers the option to add three 3 GHz Relay Switch Channels to the ECO8000 ECO Automatic Changeover Units. While these channels are optimized for SD, HD, or 3G-SDI signals, they are also usable for most reference signals. These channels utilize high bandwidth latching relays to preserve the selected signal path upon a loss of power.
The Relay Check function comes standard with all 3 GHz Relay Switch Channels. This function, when enabled, has the instrument automatically check the signal level on each channel before and after every changeover switch in order to determine the condition of the relay contacts of these channels. If the instrument determines that the relay contacts may have nonconductive coating, such as oxide, buildup, the instrument will cycle the relay rapidly up to 20 times. This cycle will wear through the layer of nonconductive coating in an attempt to restore the relay connections as a relay self-cleaning attempt.
This option is factory-installed and must be purchased with the ECO8000 ECO Automatic Changeover Unit.
