The Si-K25 Round Air Flow Cone and Si-K85 Square Air Flow Cone are essential instruments for direct measurement of air flow within ventilation and air conditioning systems. These instruments can be used with the 100 mm diameter vane anemometers from class 110, 210, and 310 portable instruments, such as the LV 110, LV 130, VT 210, MP 210, or AMI 310 anemometer.

Measurement Principle

The Si-K25 and Si-K85 cones have a built-in honeycomb air flow straightener that reduces turbulence and enables more accurate air flow measurements. These instruments are designed for accurate measurements of both straight and turbulent air flow on all major ventilation grilles and plate outlets, including multi-directional ones. These cones feature a compact unibody design with no parts to assemble, making them easy to handle, especially in tight spaces.

Integrated Flow Straightener

To ensure even more reliable measurements, the Si-K25 and Si-K85 cones incorporate a honeycomb structure that reduces turbulence and produces a laminar flow suitable for vane anemometers on all types of vents. Operation of the instruments is simple and involves placement of the user's vane probe on the cone. Once adjusted, the user can place the cone on the air vent and obtain accurate measurements via their anemometer.
