- SD Memory provides limited backup communications since most information transfers can be accomplished via SD Memory. Redundant communications achieves success.
- SD Memory provides essentially unlimited power monitoring. When the memory in PowerSight fills, it must start writing over the oldest data, but the analyzer will continue to append records to the SD Memory until 65,535 records are reached. If that is still not enough, the meter will close off that log and start a new one on the SD memory card. The limit is what your data analysis system can handle.
- SD Memory is required for the TestPlan Manager feature that saves time and eliminates errors when doing jobs involving multiple test points.
- PowerSight SD-Mem cards are standard SDHC (SD High Capacity) memory cards. They are relatively small capacity (a few gigabytes), which is large enough for hundreds of typical recording sessions.
- Cards come preformatted for the FAT file system. Any FAT formatted SD card should work in our analyzers.
