The Phase II 900-475 Fully Automated Twin Digital Rockwell/Superficial Rockwell Hardness Tester is a newly designed fully automated digital Rockwell hardness tester. This tester is capable of determining the Rockwell hardness of ferrous, non-ferrous metals, and non-metal materials. Quality control for metal heat treatment, material inspection, welding evaluations, and production is possible. Further evaluations involving alloys, grade verification for hard plastics, and failure analysis can be conducted. This tester is especially suitable for the precise measurement of flat surfaces as well as a curved surface.

To begin testing, the user can simply touch the start symbol on the display and make further adjustments on the screen. The user is able to set both upper and lower limits within the settings of the tester. The test cycles involve high speeds and feature extremely accurate loading controls.

The 900-475 is capable of testing in all Rockwell/superficial Rockwell Hardness Scales. Automatic conversions to Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Brinell (HB) and Vickers (HV) Hardness Scales is possible as well. This tester allows for the direct loading method with load-cells instead of the dead weight system.
