TTRU3-BASIC
The Megger TTRU3-BASIC 3-Phase Transformer Turns Ratiometer is designed to test power, instrument, and distribution transformers without the need of traditional high voltage excitation. A single three-phase lead-set connection is all that is required to complete three-phase tests in less than 10 seconds.
- Large 7 in. color touch display
- Up to 125V test voltage
- Ability to measure actual vs. expected phase shift
- Magnetic balance test capabilities
- Designed to test all power instruments, CT and PT/VT instruments, and distribution transformers without need of traditional high voltage excitation
- Finds problems of loose connections, turn-to-turn shorts, broken strands, winding deformation, tap changer contact issues, and core problems
- One instrument and 3Ø lead set connection enables variety of testing applications
- Testing includes ratio, phase shift/phase deviation, polarity, magnetic balance/flux distribution, excitation current characteristics, and auto vector detection
- Performs step-up ratio testing and step-down ratio testing
- Automatically chooses best test voltage and provides correct ratio on first try
- Removes inaccuracy typically associated with traditional 1Ø step-down test instruments
- Removes need for user to know 'proper' test voltage required to obtain 'valid' results
- Software performs safety checks before applying full test voltage
- Quickly and efficiently checks for correct polarity between high and low side windings
- Provides capability for automatic vector group detection for validating 'expected' vs. 'measured' vector group
- Ability to measure actual vs. expected phase shift
- Confirmation of expected nameplate vector configuration
- Turns ratio % error vs. nameplate with PASS/FAIL
- Excitation current test locates problems such as defects in magnetic core balance or magnetic core structure
- Winding balance test assesses health of windings, core assembly condition, and flux distribution within transformer
- Magnetic balance test checks that mechanical properties of core and windings have not changed after fault
- Automatic OLTC control allows user to run through entire OLTC with one click
- Easy operation of OLTC control involves confirming calculated tap voltages in Test Plan and choosing when test should stop
- Up to 125V test voltage
- Guaranteed accuracy of ±0.10% from -20°C to 50°C
- Intuitive user interface includes large, user-friendly buttons
- Vectors displayed on screen for easy matching to nameplates
- User-friendly operation requires minimal training
- Results grouped by file name upon export to produce XLS/PDF report that is easy to read, email or import into PowerDB
- Optional 90029-573 USB Printer (sold separately) allows for immediate hard copy of results
- Banana plug input for connection to terminal blocks
- Unique kelvin clamps with adjustable 3 in. jaw
