The Klein Tools 1684-5H Chicago Grip with Latch Designed for use on aluminum, copper, weatherproof coated wire, PVC covered conductors and messenger and guy strand. Users are provided with a grip that can be placed on wire with hot-line stick. When stick is removed, the latch closes automatically to guard against the grip accidentally disengaging from the wire. Standard hot-line grips are not supplied with springs or lock-open features. A locking handle keeps the jaw open while the grip is placed on the cable with a hot stick. The Klein Tools 1684-5H features a 0.218 to 0.55 in. cable diameter range.
