The FLIR ITC-LVL-II-RECERT (ITCLEVELIIRECERT) is an ITC Level II Thermography Re-Certification Exam designed for Level II Certified Thermographers who need to re-certify to maintain their Level II status. The recertification exam has 60 multiple-choice questions, each with four answers to choose from. A passing grade is 75% or above (students can get a maximum of 15 questions incorrect). Students will be given two attempts to pass the exam, with an optional third try with administrator approval.
This is a close-book exam and must be proctored by an associate. A proctored exam is an exam that is administered by an individual who supervises the student while they are taking the exam. The proctor's function is to ensure the integrity and security of the exam. Each student will have 90 minutes to complete the exam; once the time is up, students may not finish or modify the exam. After submitting the examination, the student's test will be scored and shared with the student.
For valid certifications, the new certification will be extended by five years from the date on which the exam was passed. For recently expired certifications, FLIR offers a six-month window in the event that the original certification has expired. In this case, the new certification will be issued from the original expiration date. Beyond six months, students will need to attend another recertification course and pass the exams, when a new certification will be issued from the last date of the most recent course.
