The Fieldpiece SM480V 4-Valve SMAN Series Wireless Digital Refrigerant Manifold gives users the trust needed for doing the job right the first time. The SM480V offers the ultimate field protection and long range wireless protection. The fully rubberized case seals and protects the unit from dust, bumps, and light rain. The heavy-duty hook can be used to hang the unit in a work vehicle while protected by the large padded soft case.

The SM480V is designed to work the way that the user does with advanced features for streamlining the job timeline and providing customers with the answers they need. The data logging capabilities allow for 9 jobs to be stored internally with logs saved for up to 7 days. Before logging begins, the unit displays the percentage of free storage space still left. Data logs can be easily downloaded via the USB port. The tightness test function allows the user to check for leaks after repairs or installations. The timer tracks the duration of the test and the temperature is compensated with SL temperature to avoid false positives. Pressure differential over time can be easily viewed. The SM480V is fully customizable for adjusting to the user's needs. Both the duration for the auto power-off and backlight can be adjusted. High and low vacuum alarms can be set. Each unit of measurement can be individually selected.

The SM480V is the ultimate testing hub at the jobsite. In addition to the included thermocouples, the user can connect wirelessly to psychrometers, pipe clamps, and even a refrigerant scale. With two of the model JL3RH Psychrometers (not included), the user can assign one to return air and the other to supply air to view live temperature split across the evaporator directly.

All measurements and live calculations can be viewed on the extra large LCD screen or from a distance on the user's mobile device. The Job Link System app allows for easy viewing of measurements, monitoring and recording refrigerant weight, and offers a long wireless range without a transmitter required. A rolling list of the 10 most recently used refrigerants is stored at the top of the main refrigerant list for quick selection.

Proper charge can be verified by comparing actual superheat (SH) with target superheat (TSH). For live TSH calculations, use the outdoor dry bulb thermocouple and an optional indoor psychrometer (not included). The unit's pressure sensors automatically compensate for altitude and weather changes. The internal vacuum gauge can be used for fast and convenient monitoring of evacuations through the full 3/8 inch VAC port.
