The Elektro-Automatik PS 2342-06 B Triple Output Programmable DC Power Supply, 42V/6A, 212W features a color TFT screen, an improved USB port, and the additional communication protocols ModBus RTU and SCPI. This units is closed at the top and the bottom and has no external heatsinks - thus, it is especially suitable for use in schools and other educational establishments. The safety output sockets are located on the front of the unit. Voltage and current can be adjusted from zero to the required value.
Besides standard features, such as overvoltage protection (OVP) - which are intended to protect sensitive user applications against unwanted voltage peaks or high voltage - the EA-PS 2342-06 B features an overcurrent protection with an adjustable threshold to 110% nominal current. It will protect a malfunctioning application from overcurrent by immediate output shutdown.
The PS 2342-06 B can be monitored and remotely controlled via the front USB port, which is equipped as standard. The user can choose between programming a custom application, or using the included EA Power Control software.
The set values of voltage and current adjust each other in order to maintain the maximum output power, according to P = U * I. This allows for working with either high output voltage or with high output current.
Included with this device is a control software for Windows PCs, which allows the user to remotely control multiple, identical or even different types of devices. It has a clear interface for all set and actual values, a direct input mode for SCPI and ModBus RTU commands, a firmware update feature, and semi-automatic table control ("Sequencing").
