The Benchmark Scientific D1031-05 2.0mL Tubes are prefilled with an appropriate amount of 0.5mm diameter silica (glass) beads for bead homogenization. The tubes are ready to use: beads are acid washed and heat treated to remove contaminants and render them nuclease and protease free. Suitable for homogenization of bacteria, fungi, spores, molds and small yeasts. The tubes are suitable for use in most bead homogenizers including the BeadBug 3, BeadBug 6 and BeadBlaster 24.
