The AEMC 407 (2139.51) True-RMS AC/DC Power Clamp-On Meter provides a new standard for safety and measurement capability. Unlike other instruments which only measure the InRush when the installation is first powered up, the AEMC 407 (2139.51) True-RMS AC/DC Power Clamp-On Meter measures all types of InRush. These measurements include even those due to load increases on an installation that is already up and running. Both peak and RMS InRush values are captured at an one millisecond sample rate and 100 millisecond duration window.
Power measurements are available for Watts, VARs and VA, and MIN and MAX tracking. The AEMC 407 (2139.51) True-RMS AC/DC Power Clamp-On Meter also has the unique capability to display single-phase and three-phase power measurements. Total Harmonic Distortion both total and referenced to the fundamental are also available for taking in harmonic frequencies to the 25th order.
Harmonic analysis on individual harmonics is available up to the 25th harmonic of either 50 or 60 hertz fundamental and up to the 7th harmonic on a 400 hertz fundamental.
Data logging is a standard feature in the AEMC 407 (2139.51) True-RMS AC/DC Power Clamp-On Meter. Up to 1000 measurements can be stored from any of the function positions. MAX, MIN, and present values are stored each time. The storage rate is programmable from one per second to one every 600 seconds. Communication to the PC is wireless via Bluetooth connection. Graphing and analysis of the data is accomplished by the comprehensive DataView software package.
Other functions include Power Factor, MIN/MAX monitoring of measurement from any function position, and an available Peak +/- display. A Hold function is provided to retain the last reading on any of the functions. The AEMC 407 (2139.51) is a truly unique meter focused on both user safety and measurement performance.
