Preselection reduces mixer overload from broadband signals and reduces the interaction of local oscillator harmonics with the device under test. True signals can be quickly located, and software development for automated measurements is greatly simplified. The 11974Q features advanced barium-ferrite technology and comes with a stand-alone power supply. It is especially useful for broadband millimeter signal analysis, electromagnetic interference measurements, and unattended monitoring of millimeter signals.
