Fluke has put an end to the guessing game with the new NetTool tester. NetTool combines cable, network, and PC configuration testing in one palm-sized tool, so you'll have everything you need to quickly resolve even the toughest connectivity problem.

NetTool includes a cable-testing capability, eliminating the need for a separate basic cable tester. Its additional benefits include:

  • A Problem Log that concisely lists problems detected on the PC and network such as addressing issues, email and web problems.
  • Simultaneously monitoring network health (frames sent, utilization, broadcasts, errors, collisions) for full-duplex connections.
  • Individual frame counts for both the desktop and the network conversations.
  • Showing protocol mismatches between the PC and the network, and identifying unwanted protocols.

NetTool's unique inline functionality allows users to eavesdrop on complex PC-to-hub link pulse negotiation process so they don't have to depend upon difficult-to-understand PC/Switch configuration screens to resolve link connectivity issues.

NetTool displays advertised speed, duplex capability and link configuration.

Once NetTool completes the link analysis, it reports on the PC-to-network conversation while the PC accesses network devices.

NetTool reveals how the PC is configured: MAC and IP addresses, servers (DHCP, email, HTTP and DNS), routers and printers used.
