By developing a selection of Cat 6 Personality Modules that provide the plug at the end of the DSP Permanent Link Interface Adapter, we've ensured that the NEXT and FEXT characteristics of the connections between the adapter and the link-under-test are measured accurately.

Personality Modules

Introducing modularity for the end of your adapter. The new Personality Modules from Fluke Networks provide the plug at the end of the DSP Permanent Link Interface Adapter, ensuring that the connection between your adapter and the link-under-test yields optimum NEXT performance, and more PASSes. While Basic Link required you to change bulky adapter noses, Permanent Link only requires a simple swap of the connector end.

The Personality Modules feature a compact, easy to store lightweight design that allows you to replace without having to buy a complete manufacturer-specific link adapter. Each DSP-LIA101S includes a Personality Module for Cat 6 use. To obtain the best assessment of a link's performance, Fluke Networks offers several personality modules.

The Interoperability Matrix below reflects partially completed "Interoperability Research" data. Check back for future updates. Personality Modules PM01 and PM02 can be used for all Cat 5e and Cat 3 permanent link tests.
