The POE1000ILT Power Panel Tone Star features the ability to connect between two devices ("inline"). Inline connections allow passing PoE power to the device monitoring the device while it is on. In addition, when placed inline between two devices, the power draw of the device can be measured in watts. Too much power draw is the number one reason for IP/PoE network failure.

The POE1000ILT Power Panel Tone Star is supplied with a full featured, filtered probe. The probe is used as a wire locator to audibly trace the tone placed on the wires by the Power Panel main unit. It features a tone button, volume control, ultra bright LED tip, and two status LEDs: one to visually identify the tone, and the other to warn you if there is 60hz present in the area. The probe is filtered to minimize fluorescent hum.
