The Trilithic STE-1200 CCTV Security Tester from XFTP by Trilithic is used for the installation and maintenance of closed circuit video monitoring systems. The unit can be used to display video feeds directly from security cameras, control the movement of Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras, generate colorbar test images, capture addressing data from serial control systems, and test LAN cables. These functions along with easy operation and portability makes
it simple for a CCTV Technician to install and maintain CCTV
systems, improving work efficiency by reducing time in the field. |

The Trilithic STE 1200 makes adjustments to PTZ controllers quick and simple. Support for more than 20 PTZ protocols such as PELCO and Samsung allow for easy adjustments. These adjustments include zooming, panning, tilting, adjusting focus, and creating preset positions for security cameras. Live video can also be displayed and generated in both NTSC and PAL formats. The Trilithic STE1200 can be used to capture and analyze data from RS485
cable. It can also test cable in local area networks by displaying
the connection status, sequence, and cable number. The STE-1200 is
capable of baud rates ranging from 150, and 600 to 19200 bps along
with support for RS232, RS485, and RS422 interfaces. |

The following diagram shows an example of how the STE-1200 CCTV Security Tester is used to test a CCTV security system. This example shows a typical PTZ camera with video output, PTZ control wiring (RS232 or RS485), audio output, and DC power supply. In this example, the security camera is supplied power using the STE-1200 power output. This configuration is common in new installations where power may not be available for testing. In existing installations, the security camera can be powered by the installed power source. |
