The new AS-702-B is a "Higher Sensitivity" unit just released to work with a larger number of phones like the AT&T 992 and 993 (which do not work with the AS-702). The AS-702-B will also work with all of the previous phones that the AS-702 works with. The AS-702-B also incorporates "Built-In" phone and line jacks so you won't have to mess with extra splitters on most installations.
