In the past, generators of this capability were priced in the thousands of
dollars, but new DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis) technology combined with the
latest microprocessor control brings the cost down to the hobbyist range.The
DDS Audio Signal Generator will generate signals from 0.1 Hz all the way up to
50 KHz. Both square and low distortion sine waves are available. An easy-to-read
six digit LED display and direct keyboard entry allows error-free entry of
desired frequency. DDS technology means that all frequencies are digitally
accurate and referenced to the stable, master crystal reference oscillator.
Entered frequencies may be adjusted up or down in precise step increments using
the step up/down keys or the large tuning knob. Output level is continuously
adjustable from 0 to 1 volt peak-to-peak.
The rugged and handsome sealed
membrane keyboard is immune to most solvents and resists demanding shop usage
and soiling. A quick wipe with some Windex™, and your DDS Audio Signal
Generator will look as good as new.
