The PM 5639/25 Miniature CRT Color Analyzer is used in automatic manufacturing systems. The sensor is optimized for high speed manufacturing of high quality CRT based display. The displays can be either TV-sets or computer monitors. The communication is based on a standard RS-232 interface operating with a speed of 9600 Baud. By connecting several sensors to the same controller, measurements taken at different positions on the CRT can be used for automatic alignment in automated production systems.

The output from the sensor is standard CIE 1931 XYZ values. The controller in the automatic manufacturing system can very simply compare these values to the target values and make the adjustment to the unit under test.

Computer monitors used with graphics demand higher and higher quality of the displays. White field uniformity may also be adjusted on these monitors. The size of the PM 5639/83 Miniature CRT Color Sensor make sit the ideal solution where measurements are done at several positions simultaneously. The typical use is 5 or 9 sensors but up to 25 may e used simultaneously on 17 inch CRT's.

The PM 5639/25 includes software modules which show how to use the sensors together with a controller. The software modules are included as source code modules to facilitate simple integration into larger manufacturing systems.
