Static-ESD Control

Test Equipment Depot carries the static-ESD control tools and equipment necessary to eliminate damage caused by EMI and micro-contaminants and static electricity.

This task often requires a complete static control program, built from five basic types of static control products: industrial coatings, industrial floor mats, industrial tape, ionizers and static eliminators, specialty polymers and resins, and workbenches or workstations. Our inventory includes many brands that meet the demand for static control products, including Desco and Static Control Solutions (SCS).

The most important parameters to consider when selecting static control products are technology type and substrate. Technology type defines the way in which static control products apply to various substrates, such as metal, paper, plastic, rubber, textile, or wood. Types of technology include aerosols, which disperse as a spray); air setting or film drying, which form a bond by evaporating water or an organic solvent; two or multi-component systems, consisting of two or more resins that react and cure into a polymerized compound or bond; and UV or radiation curing, which uses ultraviolet (UV) light, visible light or electron beam irradiation to initiate curing, allowing for a permanent bond without heating or excessive heat generation.
