The Milwaukee MW401 is a compact portable conductivity and TDS meter (0 to 1990 mg/l (ppm) range with a 10 mg/l (ppm) resolution), with automatic temperature compensation. This meter is suitable for a wide range of appliations including educational and agriculture/horticulture, as well as water and environmental analysis.

Soil conductivity is checked before fertilizer application to pinpoint field needs and after fertilization to establish its effectiveness. The TDS testing provides all agricultural operation with a method to optimize chemical applications and minimize operational cost.
