The aluminum reflector gives precise light control, and the lamp is protected by a diffusing lens. The ergonomic handle has integrated illuminated switch and reading/night light intensity switch. Carelite comes in three variants: tungsten filament lamp, 18W high frequency compact fluorescent and 18W high frequency compact fluorescent with two step adjustment of light level.

Being a truly modular system, Carelite comes with an arm for wall/ceiling and a wide choice of brackets and mounts. Carelite being an arm based reading light can be positioned exactly where the light is required. This is important in multi bed wards where it allows one patient to have his reading light on without disturbing other patients in the ward.
