The PWR-P Series Power Supplies are multi-function, dual-tracking CV/CC power supplies featuring a built-in microprocessor and excellent reliability.  They provide multiple power supply outputs, all in positive outputs, and the experimental and systems applicability that rivals the previous approach of using several single-output supplies, making them optimum for use in the fields related to Audio-Visual, mechatronics and car electronics.  Together with the PW Series power supplies featuring high general applicability, and the PWR series is packed with listener functions enabling remote control of all functions, and a talker function for read-back of output voltage and current values, the powerful PWR-P series expands the range of our multiple-output regulated DC power supplies so that they can be selected according to the applications.  

Dual Tracking

Dual tracking enables two output voltages to track from zero simultaneously when varied, providing two outputs with the same output value.  This tracking output can be disabled for individual setting of positive and negative values.

Simultaneous and Independent Digital Display of Voltage and Current

Output voltage and current are indicated simultaneously on 7-segments red LED display, and a switch operation can be used to display the voltage and current of any of the outputs.

Presetting of Voltage and Current Value Pairs (3 points)

Three sets of frequently used voltage and currents (V-A pairs) can be preset, thereby enabling quick setup of the power supply output.  A variable adjustment enables continuous adjustment of each output.  The output on/off delay time can also be preset.

One-Dial Control

To simplify operation, all setting conditions are selected at the push of a button, with a single rotary-encoder dial being used to set all values.  In addition, output voltage and current can be set to resolutions of 10mV and 10mA, respectively.  Slow/fast switching is also available.

Output Protection

When the output is on, if a preset switch or variable switch is changed or the tracking switch is set to on, a protection circuit cuts off the supply output, to prevent output of unexpected voltages and currents (when the output protect switch is set to on).

Optional GP-IB Adaptor GP-620 Enables to Control Up to Four PWR-P Series Power Supplies

When used in combination with the GP-IB adaptor (GP620), the PWR-P Series power supplies are applicable to automated measuring systems and the listener/talker functions enable the control of all functions and the reading of all output voltage and current values.  Every GP620 can control up to four power supplies by recognizing their IDs; this means that a system with excellent safety can be implemented.  The system can be expanded more by increasing the GP620 GP-IB adaptors.

Computer Control For Extension to Programmable Power Supplies

An external computer can be directly connected to use the PWR-P Series power supplies as programmable supplies and implement a power supply system which can control all function settings, as well as read output voltage and current values of the supplies.

Master Operation

The PWR-P Series power supplies are compatible with single-control operation when they are incorporated in a system, with one master capable of controlling up to four slave power supplies, controlling all the functions simultaneously under the same conditions.

External Remote Control Capabilities

By connecting the RT-63 Remote Controller Box, it is possible to remote control functions such as the preset value (output value) switching, output on/off condition and output protect on/off condition of up to four PWR-P Series power supplies.  It is also possible to perform remote control using contact or logic signals via the RT-63.
