The Hamlet WhichWire is a compact, rugged and waterproof SDI/Composite Detector. Its rustproof alloy enclosure is built to absorb every day knocks and bumps. User safety is paramount, so the battery-powered unit can be used in environments, such as un-grounded bays and in pouring rain, where use of normal detectors could put the user in danger. The case is sealed to the highest IP65 waterproof standards. Installed is one BNC input socket, which automatically detects of SD SDI or composite input video signal is indicated on LEDs. An indication is also provided of the SD SDI signal’s nominal cable length on one of two LEDs for less than 100M or greater than 100M. WhichWire automatically powers up on detection of SD SDI or composite video. The unit runs by use of easily changed, universally available AA cells.
