Compact, Lightweight Body
The S121 Series is one-third the size (compared to FITEL S199) and weights only 980g / 2.2lbs without battery. This compact body allows you to splice in almost any location.

Superb Portability
The S121 can be operated around the neck using the included 4-piece strap or can be attached to the optional YA03029 Work Table and S121-TRIPOD to set the splicer in a convenient position for splicing.

Fast Splice & Fully Automatic
Operating the S121 series is simple. Just set the fibers in place and press a button! The whole process, from fiber feed to tension test, is fully automatic and takes just seconds.

A Clear View of the Splice
The S121 series comes standard with a 2.5-inch color LCD monitor, which displays a magnified image of the fibers as viewed by a CCD camera. This allows for simple and accurate confirmation of the splice quality. Both fibers are automatically inspected before and after splice and estimation loss is also displayed.

Ease of Use with Fiber Holders
With the use of fiber holders, it is easy for operator to strip, cleave, and splice fiber, even for beginners! Depending on fiber type, there are 250um, 900um, 2-fiber ribbon and 4-fiber ribbon available.

Hand-Held Splicing
Often in splicing, setting the splicer on a flat surface is not possible. That is why the S121 series is designed to be a hand-held unit, so you can splice virtually anywhere.

Short Fiber Lengths
Thanks to the T-shape of the S121 series, you can actually set the splicer inside the closure and splice with very short fiber lengths.

Battery or AC/DC Power Options
For cordless usage, the S121 series comes with a rechargeable Lithium ion battery and recharger. The recharger can accommodate up to two batteries at one time and the remaining charge is displayed on the screen for easy monitoring. AC power is also available with the optional accessory (S959).

Heat Shrink Capability
Similar to standard fusion splicers, the S121 series offers a heat shrink oven for applying protection sleeves to the splice. A tool for applying non-shrink ULTRA sleeves is also available.
