The built-in non-contact voltage sensor (NCV) sensor tells the user if a line is hot or not before they work on it. The continuity beeper tells the user if a circuit is open or closed. The Fieldpiece SC45 also features the hold button on the side of the SC45, which allows the user to concentrate on the test point, hold the reading and then look at the display after the Fieldpiece SC-45 is disconnected.
