The Benchmark Scientific E4500PS SmartGlow Pre Stain for Nucleic Acid Gels can be used as a replacement for Ethidium Bromide in agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. When bound to dsDNA, ssDNA, or RNA, the stain emits green fluorescence. Excitation peaks are exhibited at 290nm and 490nm which allows it to be used with both UV and blue light.
- Replaces hazardous Ethidium Bromide (EtBr)

The Benchmark Scientific E4500-PS SmartGlow Pre-Stain can be used as a direct replacement of Ethidium Bromide in agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The stain emits green fluorescence when bound to dsDNA or ssDNA and emits red fluorescence when bound to RNA. The E4500PS SmartGlow exhibits excitation peaks at 290 nm and 490 nm, allowing it to be used with UV and blue light.
